In 1947, three ex-Hayes Truck employees founded Pacific Truck & Trailer in Vancouver. Pacific built highway and off-road trucks, including this one that was and still is, used in the the logging industry in Gold River.

In 1970 the business was sold to International Harvester, and in 1981, Harvester sold Pacific Truck and Trailer to Inchcape Berhad in Singapore. In October 1991, the last Pacific truck was built and the manufacturing plant was closed and torn down.
