Victoria – the gas meter

For some reason, I felt compelled to shoot this disconnected gas meter in downtown Victoria. Likely because it is a stark reminder of the seedy side of large cities and the crumbling infrastructure that plagues them.

Seedy might not be the best word, as at one time this was just a gas meter – perhaps a better term would be non-gentrified.
