Spider Lake Provincial Park is a little gem that is a short drive off Highway 19 – it’s a beautiful spot for a bit of paddling, fishing, or gentle hiking on the well developed trails.

I don’t stop here as often as I would like as I usually seem to be in a rush to get to Victoria or Port Hardy, too much of a hurry to stop and enjoy nature. I need to work on that…

The Engineering and Research Corporation (ERCO) Ercoupe is a low-wing aircraft that was designed and built in the United States.  Postwar Ercoupes were powered by 75 hp Continental C-75 engines and had a  maximum gross weight of 1,260 pounds.

The Ercoupe was designed to be spin-proof with controls that only allowed the aircraft to move upward and downward in limited degrees.
