The Hub City

Nanaimo,ocean,Hubb City,Harbour City

Despite being called The Harbour City,  Nanaimo to me shall always be The Hub City

According to Wikipedia:

The City was previously known as the “Hub City” which has been attributed to its original layout design where the streets radiated out from the shoreline like the spokes of a wagon wheel as well as its generally centralized location on Vancouver Island.

Walking in the water

Walking in the shallow water at the beach can be quite the experience, depending on the weather and the tide. Some days the water is warm and inviting, and some days the water is bone chillingly cold.

I enjoy both, but my favorite is when the tide is coming in over sun baked rocks…
