MV Klitsa ex Denman Queen

The Klitsa is the first of the four K Class ferries operated BC Ferries. She was built as the Denman Queen in 1972 for the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Highways. In 1985 Denman Queen was transferred to BC Ferries and renamed Klitsa.

Klitsa currently operates on Route 12, crossing the Saanich Inlet between Brentwood Bay and Mill Bay. BC Ferries also operates her sister ships Kahloke, Kuper, and Kwana.

For 52 years TransLink operated sister ships Klatawa and Kulleet on a route across the Fraser River, linking Albion with Fort Langley, ceasing operation on July 31, 2009 after the Golden Ears Bridge opened.
