CFB Comox is home to 19 Wing, and to the Comox Valley Air Port – they share the same run ways so a little bit of planning was required to ensure that scheduled commercial flights were not delayed during the flight portion of the air show.

It’s not everyday you see a Westjet Boeing 737 next to the RCAF Sbowbirds and a CF-188 Hornet.

Oyster and Chiton

Chitons have a protective dorsal shell that is divided into eight articulating valves embedded in the tough muscular girdle that surrounds the chiton’s body. This allows chitons to roll into a protective ball when dislodged and to cling tightly to irregular surfaces.

Oysters and Chitons – both are molluscs, but we’re more used to seeing the two-piece shells of bivalve molluscs such as oysters, clams and mussels.
