The big machine

I had seen this big logging machine on the way into Northwest Bay and was going to stop but was excited about heading to Rhododendron Lake and decided to stop on the way back into Nanoose. That’s not my usual way of doing things as life on many occasions has proven that carpe diem is the way to go if you don’t want to miss out on the good stuff. I also believe in caveat emptor, but that’s another story – for now, the important thing is that I cheated fate and the cool logging machine was still there on the way out.

This machine grabs trees, cuts them off at the stump and then stacks them – it’s amazing.
