
Whiskey Jacks, (Perisoreus canadensis), also known as the Gray Jay, Canada Jay, are rather bold little birds that have become habituated to humans offering them food, and they will land on your hand even if it is empty.
Feeding Whiskey Jacks leads to problems such as unnatural food dependency, habituation to humans, disease or even death – it’s also illegal as detailed in the British Columbia Park Act, Wildlife Act, and Park and Recreation Area Regulation.
