Can you tell me why the Electric Power Company, who was the owner/developer of the Healey Falls constructed 4 penstocks (entering the powerhouse – with middle two originating from the middle penstock – at the intake), and why the first unit (furthest left of the powerhouse – looking downstream) was not installed at the time of construction? It seems odd to install the units closest to the powerhouse service bay door? Was the Electric Power Company feeling financial constraints? Did the forth unit, and the tship it was sailing on, sink – as is the rumour I heard?
