I stopped at the southern of the two bridges where Duncan Bay Main logging road crosses BC Highway 19, and shot some video of the traffic and clouds on an early spring Tuesday.

The view of Black Creek, Georgia Strait and beyond to the Coastal Mountains from the Duncan Bay Main logging road was spectacular, so I decided to stick around for a bit and shoot a time-lapse video – not a bad way to spend a bit of time on an early spring afternoon.

Not your normal of the MV Rhododendron – Fanny Bay
Usually, when I’m heading out I drive through Fanny Bay without stopping, but most of the time I stop at the government wharf on the way home to see what’s going on.
On this trip, I ventured onto the Tsable River estuary to get a shot of the Rhododendron from a different vantage point. It was well worth it…

I could have cropped the heck out of this shot to show just the geese, or I could have walked up closer to get a tighter shot. Walking up closer is not going to happen as it would disturb the birds and that is not right, in my opinion.
Besides, a cropped shot would not tell the story, and a photograph should tell a story, or at least illustrate one…
