The colours of fall in Canada

C-GIHM, a 1988 Cessna 208B at the Nanaimo airport

According to Environment Canada, the wonderful fall colour this year is not something we are imagining as being more vivid and intense than usual.
It’s real. The yellows have been stimulated by recent heavy rain after dry weather throughout the summer, and the reds by sunny days, clear nights, and cold mornings.

Wall Beach on a fall day

Wall Beach has always been one of my go-to places when I need to get away from the day to day toils and troubles that seem to mount up. It’s a peaceful area full of wonderful eroded sandstone formations that are perfect for a few minutes of relaxation or a few hours of exploration.
