Air Force Beach

It’s been a while since I took the time to go to the beach – it’s been too long, and life being rather hectic at times, I have not, until now, realized how long it’s been and how much I need some time on the beach.

Air Force Beach is on the west shore of Georgia Strait, almost directly across from Powell River, and adjacent to 19 Wing/CFB Comox. It’s usually a fairly quiet beach, which suits me just fine as it gives me a chance to soak in the sun as I revel in the ever changing world before me.

I’m packing up a camera or two and heading to the beach. I don’t care if it rains or is stormy. I need the beach…

The setting sun provides some wonderful long light – it’s a fantastic time to be out with a camera as the colours come alive,  and the increasing shadows accentuate both nature and man made objects.
