Thetis Island is a great starting point for exploring the sheltered waters along Scott, Dayman, and Hudson Islands, either from the Telegraph Harbour Marina, or from the BC Ferries terminal at Preedy Harbour.

A busy moment at Open Bay on Quadra Island as BC Ferries Tachek heads to Whaleton on Cortes Island.

A rock and an old rusted washer from a log boom – perhaps not your typical view of treasure but to me they are beach treasures.

Of course I am not content to just look at a treasure, I have to pay with it…

The Albern is often seen tied up in Fanny Bay, yet for some reason I had never seen her working, until a few days ago.

A calm afternoon, and a wonderful sight as the Albern seemed to glide over the water, and then into what seemed to be an impossibly small section of dock.
