MV Kahloke

The Kahloke is one of three K-class vessels operated by BC Ferries fleet – her sister ships are the Klitsa, the Kwuna and the Kuper.

Kahloke was built in 1973 for the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation and Highways. In 1985 the Kahloke, along with all of the Ministry of Transportation and Highways coastal assets, were transferred to BC Ferries.

M/V Bowen Queen

The M/V Bowen Queen is one of three Powell River Class ferries built to operate on the new minor routes acquired by BC Ferries in the early 1960’s. The Bowen Queen, Mayne Queen and the Powell River Queen were built for approximately 1 million dollars each in 1965.
