Birds and boats and fog in Port San Juan
Adjacent to Port Renfrew and Carmanah Walbran Provincial Park, Port San Juan provides shelter from the Strait of Juan de Fuca. It was an important logging area, and now a popular destination for ocean fishing.
It’s also the southern terminus of the West Coast Trail, and a popular area for camping.

I spent some time at Georgina Point on Maybe Island while watching BC Ferries ships heading through Active Pass Island. The sky was hazy and gray, filled with smoke from forest fires burning in the British Columbia interior.
