The abandoned CN rail bridge over the Murray Canal – Carrying Place

The Murray Canal runs from Presqu’ile Bay on Lake Ontario to the western end of the Bay of Quinte. allowing boaters to avoid having to go around the isthmus of Prince Edward County.

The canal is approximately 8 kilometres long and has maximum depth of 2.7 m.
