One of the barns of Ontario
I saw this barn off of Highway 174, just west of the turn off to the Masson – Cumberland ferry. As with many barns, modern power lines conspire to mess up the view of what was…

Bicroft Fire Department No. 1
Bicroft No. 1, is a King Seagrave pumper on a 1970 Dodge 700 chassis. I saw this gem in Cumberland Ontario.

In 2001, Bicroft Township was amalgamated and the fire department became part of Highlands East Fire Department, along with the fire departments of the former Townships of Cardiff, Glamorgan and Monmouth.

The old car – Montreal Rd, east of Gatineau, Quebec
I stopped at the Orléans Fruit Farm, not to get some fruit, but to check out the cool cold storage bunker.
The 200 acre farm has been in operation since about 1943.

Another old house in rural Ontario
I see so many where it looks like the owners just walked away from what was once a home full of people and way more than a collection of bricks and board. This house was boarded up to protect it – the weathered state of the strand board shows that it has been empty for quite a while.
