The Forbidden Plateau Road bridge over the Browns River is really nothing special by itself – the bridge is situated where a trail leads to Browns River Falls and that’s the interesting part.

The owners of the property that the trail abuts on have decided that they do not want to the public to use the trail to hike along to the falls. The falls are a very popular swimming area, which has lead to a local turf war between those who want to user the trail, and those who don’t want people to access the trail.

Parksville – an old house

This rather dejected house is just off Highway 19 at the north side of Parksville. It was once a nice house, and likely could be again, although it is more likely to be bulldozed for new development.
