The valve chamber on the original Puntledge penstock pipeline This is an interesting piece of Comox Valley history – but it’s also one that is gone as BC Hydro removed the old crumbling pipeline for safety reasons.

The Puntledge Generating Station penstock pipeline has two sections – Above, the low pressure wood stave section that runs from the Puntledge River diversion dam, and below, the high pressure welded steel section that runs into the generating station.
