E&N Victoria Subdivision Mile 126.15 Buckley Bay Flag Stop
The Buckley Bay flag stop was handy for rail passengers wanting to walk down to catch a ferry to Denman Island, but not so handy when returning to Vancouver Island carrying an awkward load.
Just in case you’re not familiar with the term “flag stop”, it refers to an on demand designated stop on the rail line. If you want on, you stand at the flag stop and wave at the approaching train. If there are no people waving the train does not stop.
Right now you can wave all you want to no avail, as the train don’t run anymore.
