Fanny Bay Salmonid Enhancement Society

The Fanny Bay Salmonid Enhancement Society hatchery on Rosewell Creek is usually closed to the public, so I took advantage of an open house to visit the hatchery, and learn some more about our local rivers and salmon.

Rosewell Creek – the bridge

Low August water flows provided an opportunity to take a look under the bridge leading to the Roswell Creek hatchery. Despite looking totally dry, there was water flowing about 100 metres upstream of the bridge.
