Stones and decaying wood – a common sight on Vancouver Island as many lakes and sheltered areas of the coast were once home to wooden piers and docks that supported the logging industry.
The pictures in this series are not from logging – this is where the Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway once operated the Dayliner passenger service between Courtenay and Victoria.
